Role Manager/ Group Manager - Retail
(Actual designation will depend on the relevant years of experience)
Responsibilities
• Create new/ enhance existing go-to-market solutions for Retail clients
• Work hands-on in retail engagements
• Support sales team in Retail deals
• Liaison with corporate marketing team to market Retail solutions
• Support operations/ delivery teams in executing Retail specific engagements
• Scout alliance partners and forge alliances/ partnerships
Industry knowledge Retail
Prior work experience required
• Hands on experience in consulting for global retailers, especially in retail operations
• Should have experience working as the conduit between the technology/analytics and business teams
• Must have worked in store operations related assignments and must have a very good understanding of all aspects of retail store operations
• Must have at least 2-3 years of international exposure working onsite with retailers, preferably in the US or UK
• Experience in Inventory Management, Merchandising, Pricing & Promotions, Replenishment and Space Planning preferred
• Must have a holistic understanding of retail and must demonstrate rich experience developing / implementing best practices
Soft skills
• Ability to advise clients on business issues and establish credibility to gain buy-in for solutions
• Inter-personal, team management and project management skills
• Facilitation and conflict resolution skills
• Persuasion skills – the ability to sell an idea / build consensus
Technology Exposure to leading 3rd party vendor tools in the work areas mentioned above preferred
Years of experience 6-8 years or more of relevant experience, preferably in an IT/ITES environment servicing global Retail clients or directly working for leading global retailers
Location Bangalore/ Mumbai/ Pune ( Mumbai & Pune, depends on requirement)
