With a team of experienced quantitative analysts based around the world, the Team blends local expertise in specific markets with a global focus. In addition to published research, the Team also has extensive experience working one-on-one with quantitative investors to develop customized strategies.

The ideal candidate is
A genuine "Empiricist", familiar with handling large "real-world" datasets
Keen to apply her "hard" scientific skills to quantitative equity research
Not necessarily familiar with financial concepts but is a quick learner
Used to see solutions where others see problem
Job description
Work within a top-ranked equity quantitative strategy team
Analyse historical financial data
Research and develop new techniques to identify patterns
Research and develop new techniques to build equity portfolios
Provide solutions for internal and external client
First tasks
Build a comprehensive equity characteristics / factor/ signal library for all Asian universes in our proprietary platform (This will allow the analyst to be accustomed to our infrastructure and intimate with our data)
Build a comprehensive library of macroeconomic indicators
Explore new data analysis techniques readily implemented (or not) in R, with a focus on data visualization and numerically intensive routines
Day-to-day responsibilities will include ensuring the quality of the underlying quantitative equity data, streamlining regular reports, assisting with client request flow and looking to assist in the development of new regular reports on global quantitative equity products.

Skills Profile
A degree in statistics, econometrics, computational statistics, biostatistics, statistical genetics, computer science, operations research, engineering,...
Familiarity with advanced statistical and econometric techniques, Bayesian analysis, optimisation
Ability to program in R, Matlab or other languages such as C, Java
Enthusiastic character, team player
Familiarity with banking through internships will be appreciated (not essential)
Excellent written and spoken English (Ideas are disseminated in written English, so composition and publication skills will be an advantage)
